Real talk: Teaching is crazy hard. I just finished my 14th year in secondary ELAR in public education, so I get it! Life during the school-year is busy, overscheduled, and you are expected to do more tasks than you actually have time for. Also, teachers recognize the added challenges faced in closing academic gaps due to the pandemic and quarantine.
Enter Mrs. Price Writes. This blog was born of the desire to better organize self-created resources for future use. I used to start every school year going, what did I do for that objective last year? I felt like I was constantly starting over with activities and texts, so I started cataloging my resources.
Combine my organized resources with experience as an instructional coach and reading specialist, and you have Mrs. Price Writes – a time-saving secondary ELAR resource.
The blog is designed to share time-saving literacy ideas, resources, and experiences. I’m a full-time teacher, so you can trust that the advice is coming from actual classroom experience.
If you want to connect in other ways, I’m on TPT, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook. Sign up for literacy idea updates and free poetry sub plans!
